1- bring aboard a new Tiller Friend "Jessie" a good friend of our very own "Galz from the Hood" (Momma Alice & Carrie -2 Penny-)welcome to the List
2- also in keeping with this months "Quizlet' and George's "fest" for our "20th Century Boy" we have added a much sort after MP3 of (IMO) one of the best bands to come out of the USA (I am finding I am not alone in that thinking by the response already) so off you go to hear the wonderful band "The Replacements" doing a rousing live version of Marc's "20th Century Boy" and to those at the Bolanfest "Boogie On Children"
September 17

2- Marc makes a move on a new G-G-G-Eneration It's been about a week or longer since I first went to the site "The Box" that streams the new video clip of Bus Stop's rap/cover of Marc's "Get It On" I was pleasantly surprised to find not only is the song still in the video archives BUT it is the 3rd* most requested video clip in their top 10. What a great treat for Marc and his fans this anniversary week. "Bus Stop"
September 15th
1- **What better gift for a Marc Bolan list/website** during this week than to find out that we have been given a write up in the curent (September) issue #253 of "RECORD COLLECTOR" Magazine. "R.C Issue Cover"Included are our TILL DAWN mailing list, the T.O.M.B.(a sub section of T.D.) Marc Bolan recources and a project started here a few years ago by Debora "The Marc Bolan Webring". The icing on this cake is a mention about our work with the "TILLER-REX" Band (members) and could what we started 2 years ago be the future of recorded music? "Raw Ramp" Please pick up a copy of the issue it is a very interesting read about the state of Marc on the internet. Cleverly titled "Children of the Web-olution". Other sites highlighted include our own Pierre's wonderful "Donna La Folle" site and Christin's "Marc Bolan Net" If we get clearance hopefully we will be able to put the article on the site. Well Done to all the gang here & to all the other Bolan fans out there trying to keep Marc's legacy alive.
2- On the eve of Marc's anniversary trying to find the perfect Marc song to add was not easy. Instead I went with a joyful Live rendition of "Sweet Little Rock and Roller" that Marc performed with some "Guest Friends" "Sweet Little R 'n' R"
3- A warm welcome to our new member Elaine "Sweet E" -soon to be added to the directory

after a Tiller "Laye a Daye" (Bolan Lyric) done by our David Do yesterday of this song I just couldn't get it out of my head -I also relalize it isn't on many CD's so hopefully we can turn you on to this MP3- one of Marc's "Pure Bolan Sex" best- "Lock into your Love" (A.K.A. 1- Trying to find something a bit different for this special month I thought an MP3 of Marc's talking/interview would be nice. To turn the tables a bit more I went with a clip from the "Today" show when Marc was the "Interviewer" - This is his chat with Stan Lee. famous among all "comic Book" fans. "Marc and Stan Lee"
2- added This Month's Quizlet. With all the cover versions of "20th Century Boy" it was hard to chose only 6 but they were (I think) the more popular ones. The winner of August's Quizlet was a suprise to me (though the were many votes for all the choices) "The Marc Shows" CD came in as best "Live T.Rex CD" with 31% and in 2nd place was "The BBC 70-76"
September 1st
a long sort after song from 1980 by Kate Bush ......descibing Life in the Heavens with Bolan & other Rock stars that have passed "Blown Away"

1- added Jacqui to the Tiller Directory along with her clever "Fingerprint File" (we are happy to have some wonderful new people join the list in the past month)
2- did some changes to the MP3 page for "Morrissey's" lovely version of "Cosmic Dancer" we came across some quotes from both him and Johnny Marr discussing the impact Marc had on the "Smiths" "Morrissey's, "Cosmic Dancer"

3-started to change some of the Bolan pixs on the MP3 pages, Hopefully time permitting each song will have it own Marc Pix (lots of rare ones to use)....

1- the secure server has now been added to order Cliff Mclenehan's Book. Also the book now has its own domain site at "Marc Bolan a Chronology"
2- while I was doing site stuff and my list of Mp3's of Marc related tracks seems endless I thought why wait a week for the next one. As we move closer and closer to yet another anniversary I always seem to drift back to his earlier work. I thought that this was an appropriate track (and the one to follow tomorrow)This track harkens back to Johns Children. IMO all cover versions of Marc's songs are positive because the follower of a band making a nod to Marc (in song) always opens the door that the next step could be the fan discovering Marc themselves. added a very rare picture of the "Mrs. Jones" acetate to its MP3 page. "Mrs. Jones" August 1st added August's (Creamed Cage) new Quizlet. It was tough deciding on which 6 CD's to pick out of the growing list of Live Bolan releases. I hope these represent the more popular ones. The Quiz is for favourite "Live" CD. Last months Quiz (D.I.D for T.Rex) the winner was "Tanx" w/29% and at a close 2nd "Lec Warrior" w/25%...have fun!
July 30 1- a double treat for this Sundaye added two new MP3's the first being a fairly rare cover version of "Spaceball Ricochet" by the band "Flesh for Lulu" "Flesh for Lulu"

June 24 a personal fave and even though this songs appears on countless Bootlegs I still get many requests for it... in 1973 Marc appeared on the Cilla Black show and did a duet with her of "Life's a Gas" ( a true treausre) A+ IMO.
