*MP3 -The Smashing Pumpkins & Bowie (Live)-"All the Young Dudes" 3:04

This is IMO a Real MP3 Treat! A huge Tanx to Billy for getting it for us from his good frind whom is a "Pumpkins" freak. I guess this song will always be connected with Marc, even though he had nothing to do with the writing or recording of it. Yet back in those heady Glitter Dayz having "Mott the Hoople" have a hit with a single that mentioned T.Rex was (besides fun) an acknowledgment of Marc's popularity. Especially in the States and Canada.
David Bowie wrote the song for "Mott The Hoople" and has himself continually performed it live. What makes this cover a bit special -besides the pairing of these two great artists- is that on Bowie's vocal part he changes the original line " I want T.V. when I got T.Rex" to "I don't need T.V. when I got T.Rex". would have been nice if that was always the line!
On a side note: Billy Crogan (vocalist/writer) of the Pumpkins has acknowledged Marc/T.Rex as one of his main influences. he is also involved in the new Glam Tribute CD "Blockbuster"
