*MP3 Marc Bolan - "Electric Warrior -"There was a Time" 1971-" 1:37

This version is in stark contrast the the next Mp3 on the list (*Rarn 1976 -Marc trying to move this gentle suite in a Funk mode) THIS is the gentle side of Marc working on the beginning stages of what was to become his "Masterpiece" (sadly he never fully finished it but Tony V did a decent Job at "guessing" what Marc would have wanted it to sound like on the pictured LP.-imho- It was this little gem (Rarn & Suite) Marc left his fans to make this "Magic Land" all on their own with the various bits and pieces. Like it was in the cards (obviously he never completed it) I know I get many slapped wrists from my friends but I am glad Marc never fully completed it...Then this journey to piece it together over the past 25 years would never have happened and it would have had the "Critics" opinion splattered about to taint our inner voices, now it is just "ours" and we can hear it as we chose !!

Granted there isn't much here to fully grasp where Marc was going though it does sound in the same vein as the demo that x-sists of the whole song.It has alwayes been known (or discussed) that one of the most popular Bolan tracks "Raw Ramp" (which also adds the "There was a Time " bit)was to be part of the whole "Electric Warrior Suite" /"Children of Rarn". By the waye this is just my opinion, there are many who feel that the two "Rarn" and Warrior Suite" are two separate works I view them as one long extended "Opera" that Marc dissected and moved parts around from track to track. A Glorious find

** Side note this track has been cleaned up by our Studio Wizard -if you are familar with the original out there be prepared for a surprise in quality
