Bus Stop
"Get It On (Bang A Gong)", released in 1971, was T-Rex's most
successful single, reaching number one on both the UK and USA.
20th Century boys, London Bus Stop have taken this timeless
classic song into the 21st century, with a kick-ass rap from
frontman Daz, accompanied by a dancefloor-filling groove and
a middle eight kazoo solo!

I first thought there would be more mixed emotions about this release, I am glad to see most people I spoke with think this is a just another avenue to bring Marc to more people !! (I happen to agree) and there could be nothing wrong with that - Do we want Marc's music to surive or just rest with his original fans ?
Well not much I can say - all the speaking will be done when you hear this bands version of the track... I do give them kudo's for not downing out Marc's song or using it as a sample, this is Marc's song (with added dance beat)with Rapping done over the top. I know it already has had great success in some Countries I hope it makes a Mark in North America also. Thanks to Bus Stop for bringing Marc Bolans Classic riff to a whole new audience. Included on the CD/Ep is also a very nice extended remix version that is more on the dance beat and less on any rapping -a Brill Dance cover-imho
Bellow is a review of the Bands cover of G.I.O from an independent site.
**Update**
I was able to find a site that still carriesthe complete video
Bus Stop -"Get It ON".
The video accompanying "Get It On (Bang A Gong)", uses original
Marc Bolan footage taken from a T-Rex - "Top Of The Pops" UK
TV performance, in which, to stunning effect, computer technology
puts Daz of the group right there on stage with Marc Bolan and
T-Rex.
"Get It On (Bang A Gong)" will be their forth huge success in
the UK (following on from their previous releases, selling over
one million units) and first for North America.
